| 英文描述 | Symmetrical alopecia is due to an autosomal recessive gene in Holstein calves, and is characterized by normal hair at birth, followed by symmetrical progressive hair loss starting at about 6 weeks to 6 months of age. Starts at the head, neck and back areas and progresses downward. Biopsy shows failure of hair fiber development in follicles. |
