| 英文描述 | Polled Herefords are occasionally affected at birth by a neurologic disease characterized by extensor spasm and inability to stand. There are no pathological or biochemical lesions in the nervous system. Some calves react to noise or touch with vigorous extension of the neck and legs. Contractions last a minute or two. Animals are not blind. Inherited as an autosomal recessive. Genotyping can be used for diagnosis. |
