| 英文描述 | In Europe, calves resulting from crossbreeding American Brown Swiss with European breeds have been born with spinal dysmyelination. This is distinct from the degenerative myeloencephalopathy of Brown Swiss (Weaver Syndrome). Calves had congenital recumbency, and most were killed by 1 month of age. They were bright and alert, and appeared almost normal when placed in sternal position. Diagnosis was confirmed at necropsy, where there was dysmyelination of the ascending gracile funiculus, the ascending dorsal spinocerebellar tract, and the mainly descending sulcomarginal tract. Appears to be inherited as an autosomal recessive. |
