| 英文描述 | 'Buckskin' Holstein cows are tan and white with normal pigmentation of the eyes and muzzle. Pigmented regions of these cows have a fine, very-smooth haircoat which is much shorter than the white hair bordering it, causing a three-dimensional effect. This is a coat-color-linked hair follicle dysplasia and appears to be transmitted to offspring: because about 50% of calves of affected cows have a similar dysplasia, probably an autosomal dominant trait. This color variant has appeared in non-registered (grade) cows and the genetic origin of the trait is not known. |
