| 英文描述 | Some species of ASPERGILLUS and PENICILLIUM fungi produce aflatoxins and can contaminate feeds. Field cases are rarely reported but the disease has been reproduced experimentally. Many of the signs listed are seen with high levels of toxin over a few weeks of feeding. Dx by signs associated with toxin in the feed. Serum aspartate transaminase, alkaline phosphatase, and bilirubin may be elevated. There are characteristic histologic changes in the liver including fibrosis, bile duct proliferation, megalocytosis, and occlusion of hepatic and centrilobular veins. |
