| 英文描述 | Tenosynovitis and mineralization of the biceps brachii tendon have been seen in the horse and dog and are believed to be secondary to injury or inflammation of the tendon. Can be chronic, with stiffness in the forelimbs and a shortened stride. Flexion of the shoulder is resisted and there can be pain on palpation. Disuse atrophy may be present. Can be bilateral in horses. Diagnose by blocking the shoulder and ultrasonography. In dogs there can be radiographic evidence of calcification without lameness. Clinically affected dogs usually have intermittent or progressive weight-bearing lameness that becomes worse with exercise. Rupture of the biceps tendon or biceps tendon sheath are rare. |
