| 英文描述 | A myopathy has been seen in 8-13 week old male Irish terriers, Irish setters and Golden Retrievers. Muscle enzymes are elevated, with myotonic discharges on electromyography. There is acute necrosis, calcification, regeneration and variation in muscle size on histology. Dx by history and muscle biopsy. May be an X-linked recessive in Irish terriers. Signs can stabilize as the animal matures. A similar syndrome was reported in a Minature Schnauzer (Vite et al.). |
