| 英文描述 | Two young Old English Sheepdog littermates developed weakness during exercise. Serum enzymes of muscle origin were elevated following exercise and lactic acidosis was documented by measuring serum lactate concentration prior to, during and after exercise. Muscle biopsy revealed myofiber necrosis and myophagocytosis, with residual, almost empty, sarcolemmal tubes (Breitschwerdt et al.). The findings of onset of weakness during early life, a chronic slowly progressive clinical course, metabolic acidosis with lactic acidemia following exercise, and ultrastructurally increased and abnormal muscle mitochondria resembled those in mytochondrial myopathies in humans (Breitschwerdt et al.). |
