| 英文描述 | The metabolism and physiologic role of L-2-hydroxyglutaric acid are unknown, but elevated levels of this organic acid have been associated with neurologic disease in humans and in Staffordshire bull terriers. Affected dogs had acute or insidious onset of progressived neurologic signs which were first noted at 4 months to 6 years of age. There was a range of signs seen in affected animals, from behavioral changes to the acute onset of seizures. Dx by finding elevated levels of L-2-hydroxyglutaric acid in body fluids. |
