| 英文描述 | A syndrome of retarded growth and wasting was reported in a group of inbred Weimaraner dogs. Affected pups had a small thymus gland with absence of thymic cortex. Some of the pups developed persistent infections, including skin disease, pneumonia and digestive disorders. Most affected pups die despite conventional therapy. There may be a depressed response to phytohemagglutinin by lymphocytes, and a concurrent abnormality in growth hormone metabolism can cause a subnormal increase in growth hormone after the injection of clonidine HCL. |
