| 中文描述 | 許多品種犬會出現先天性腎病，並導致腎衰竭。組織學檢查常發現腎臟的發育不全，但是也有發生基膜層異常、腎絲球病、絲球體週邊纖維化的記錄。青少年型的遺傳性腎臟疾病雖然罕見，但是如果在年輕犬隻發現不明原因的進行性腎病，還是要將此疾病考慮在內。罹病的犬隻可能會出現貧血、氮血症、高血磷、血中白蛋白低下、尿比重下降、以及蛋白尿等症狀。大部分罹病的犬隻只有幾個月的壽命，但是曾有犬隻在出現症狀後還存活了八年。 |

| 英文描述 | Congenital canine renal disease leading to renal failure is seen in many breeds. Histologically this is often a renal dysplasia but basement membrane disorders, glomerulopathies, and periglomerular fibrosis have been described. Juvenile renal disease is rare but should be suspected in young dogs with advanced renal failure in the absence of other causes. There might be anemia, uremia, hyperphosphatemia, hypoalbuminemia, reduced urine specific gravity, and proteinuria. Affected dogs often are only months old but can be up to 8 years old when signs are first noticed. |
