| 英文描述 | Von Willebrand's disease is a disorder characterized by a quantitative or qualitative defect in Von Willebrand factor, a protein required for normal platelet adhesion. Inherited as an autosomal recessive in some breeds of dogs and pigs. Also inherited as an autosomal incompletely dominant trait in dozens of breeds of dogs. There is a report of this disease in a cat and in a horse. Bleeding diathesis was associated with variant von Willebrand factor in a Simmental calf. Affected sows can bleed to death at farrowing. The disease in dogs seems to be milder, but they may bleed excessively following minor surgery or whelping. |
