| 中文描述 | 當芒刺陷入狗的毛髮時,芒跟芒刺可以引起狗的口部損傷,特別是在夏末秋季時發生.當牛或馬被牧草或是紫花苜蓿乾草切割出新的傷口,芒會引發其口部損傷肉芽腫化膿的口部損傷.而餵食動物進食黑小麥乾草或是切細的澳洲矛刺草(黃茅)已經被證實會引發口腔炎.藉由透過造成口腔傷害的植物組織的辨識作診斷.最好情況下是預防甚於治療.想由外科手術抹去損傷也許是可試圖去做的 |

| 英文描述 | Awns and burrs can cause oral lesions in dogs, especially in late summer or fall, when the burr becomes entangled in the dog's hair. Awns can cause pyogranulomatous oral lesions in horses or cattle when they are in late cut grass or alfalfa hay. Outbreaks of stomatitis have also been seen in animals fed Triticale hay or chopped spear grass (HETEROPOGON CONTORTUS) in Australia. Dx by identification of the plant tissue in the oral lesions. In mild cases the prognosis is good without treatment. Surgical scraping of the lesions may be attempted. |
