| 中文描述 | 在一些純種的狗和貓都有發生先天性周邊前庭症候群的報告。病患在出生12週齡之前開始出現症狀，並且在數個月之後復原，但是也有些動物會復發或出現永久性的症狀。罕見出現異常的眼球震顫，而且正常的前庭性眼球震顫也會變的難以誘發。推測與遺傳有關。藉由臨床症狀、年齡、以及排除其它可能性疾病進行診斷。 |
| 英文描述 | A syndrome of congenital peripheral vestibular disease has been reported in several breeds of dogs and cats. Onset of signs is at birth to 12 weeks of age, and signs often regress within months, although recurrences may occur and some animals are permanently affected. Abnormal nystagmus is rare, and normal vestibular nystagmus may be difficult to elicit. A hereditary basis is suspected. Dx by signs, age, and rule-out of other causes. |
