| 英文描述 | This disease usually affects short-haired dogs less than 4 months of age but has also been described in a 2-year-old dog. Lesions begin around the eyelids, lips and chin, but may spread to other parts of the body especially the anus, prepuce, and ears. Lesions consist of a deep pruritic pyoderma that may ooze serum and pus. Regional lymphadenopathy and fever may be seen. In some cases there is a sterile, suppurative arthritis manifesting as joint pain. Etiology is unknown, but may be a staphylococcal hypersensitivity; cytology of aspirates rarely shows bacteria, and culture results of intact lesions are usually negative for bacterial growth. Dx by history and physical exam. |
