| 英文描述 | Congenital hypomyelinogenesis has been described in the dog as a failure of myelination of the central nervous system resulting in severe impairement of motor function. In addition, Golden Retriever littermates were described that had hypomyelinating polyneuropathy diagnosed by histology of nerves obtained by biopsy but did not have clinical signs of central nervous system demyelination. Dx by signs, histopathology. Generalized tremors can interfere with nursing, movement, and maintaining sternal recumbency. These incoordinated movements may be lessened or absent during rest and sleep. This can occur as a syndrome in specific breeds, but sporadic cases can also occur. No treatment is described, but in some forms of this disease, for example the syndrome in Chow-Chows and Weimaraners, signs may disappear as the animal ages. |
