| 英文描述 | A storage disease due to increased GM2 ganglioside in the brain has been seen in Yorkshire pigs, mixed-bred shorthair and Korat cats, and Japanese spaniel, German short-haired pointer, and mixed-breed dogs. There are tiny white spots throughout the retina in pigs. Dx by foamy cytoplasmic inclusions in the brain and spinal cord neurons. Carriers have an abnormal hexosaminidase in the serum. Probably inherited as an autosomal recessive. |
