| 英文描述 | A series of Irish Setters between 7 months and 7 years of age had poor weight gain or weight loss and intermittent diarrhea which had started at 4-7 months of age. Both hyperphagia and inappetance were seen. There was partial villous atrophy at intestinal biopsy. This appears to be a specific dietary sensitivity, and a cereal free diet caused improvement of signs. This may also occur in other breeds. Treat by feeding a gluten free diet. Inherited in Irish Setters, with transmission under the control of a single major autosomal recessive locus. |
