| 英文描述 | A litter of boxers was examined which had a bleeding disorder characterized by low functional prothrombin. There was bleeding from the umbilicus at birth, and the severe blood loss can be fatal. This appears to be inherited as an autosomal recessive, and is a mild condition in surviving adults. Has also been mentioned as occurring in Otterhounds. Dx by elevated prothrombin time and specific factor assay (Fogh and Fogh). Treat using fresh or fresh frozen plasma or prothrombin. |
