| 英文描述 | Prolonged anestrus can be a cause of infertility in the bitch. Primary anestrus is characterized as a lack of estrus by 28-24 months of age; in secondary anestrus there is a lack of estrus within 12 months of the preceding estrus period. Dx by history, although confirmation would require serial hormonal assays. Prolonged anestrus occasionally occurs in pet cats, usually due to management error such as provision of inadequate light or nutrition. Dx by ruling out other causes of anestrus. |
