| 中文描述 | 子癲症(分娩後痙攣)是一種造成母狗肌肉僵直與抽搐的疾病。常發生於年輕的狗狗或是分娩胎數很多的時候。小型狗也比較容易發生此疾病。產前罕見此疾病的發生，大多於分娩後的第2-4週開始發作。臨床症狀也罕見超過2-4週以後才發作的。貓咪比較少見發生此疾病，若有發生，也是在產後第2-4週會出現症狀。依據臨床症狀、血鈣偏低、以及對於治療的反應來做診斷。 |
| 英文描述 | In Eclampsia (puerperal tetany) there are muscular rigidity and convulsions in the lactating bitch. More common in young dogs with large litters. Small breeds may be predisposed. Onset of signs may rarely be prepartum but most often is 2-4 weeks post partum. Signs will also rarely occur later than this. Less commonly recognized in cats, and can occur in cats from about 2 weeks prior to 4 weeks after parturition. Dx by history, signs, hypocalcemia, response to treatment. |
