| 英文描述 | Subinvolution of placental sites in the bitch is characterized by persistent post partum serosanguinous vulvar discharge containing blood and mucous, due to a delay in the normal process of placental degeneration and endometrial reconstruction. Discharge is considered abnormal if it persists for more than 6 weeks. May continue until onset of next proestrus. Rarely, blood loss is severe enough to require treatment. Dx by signs, history. In the majority of cases laboratory evaluation shows no abnormalities other than anemia in cases with excessive blood loss. |
