| 英文描述 | A movement disorder has been described in juvenile boxer dogs. Common features included 'an initial unilateral facial dystonia or twitching, producing a grimacing expression, lifting of an extended thoracic limb which was either held elevated for several seconds or banged to the ground in a series of rapidly repeated movements, unilateral dystonia of the neck and truncal muscles producing a torticollis posture, and briefly sustained hyperflexion of a single thoracic or pelvic limb.' (Ramsey et al.). Episodes occurred at varying frequencies, and seemed to be induced by excitement in some cases. Recovery from an episode was rapid. Some affected animals had polydipsia and hyposthenuria which did not respond to water deprivation or desmopressin, indicating nephrogenic diabetes insipidus. The cause of this syndrome is unknown. A similar syndrome was described in a Bichon Frise and a short video sequence showing that dog is at the Penderis and Franklin Web Reference listed below. |
