| 英文描述 | This disease is characterized by superficial vascularization of the cornea with infiltration of granulation tissue. German Shepherds are predisposed. Lesions are usually bilateral, and affect mostly the ventrolateral aspect of the temporal globe, spreading as fleshy, well-vascularized lesions toward the central cornea. Pigmentation of cornea and adjacent bulbar conjunctiva may occur, and depigmentation and thickening of the palpebral surface of the nictitating membrane develop in some dogs. Entire eye may become involved, leading to blindness. Dx is based on history and signs. |
