| 英文描述 | Pennyroyal oil is a volatile oil derived from the leaves and flowering tops of plants of the Labiatae family (Sudekum et al.). Products containing pennyroyal oil, including flea shampoos and powders as well as the oil itself, are sold in health food stores and pet shops. A dog developed fatal toxicosis including hepatic necrosis following topical treatment with pennyroyal oil (Sudekum et al.). There is no antidote; emesis, activated charcoal, and a cathartic have been recommended for treatment. There might be cogaulation abnormalities, and blood transfusion might be needed. |
