| 中文描述 | 原發的先天性白內障可能是由於遺傳、子宮內感染、產前眼部感染、或輻射照射所引發。曾經有報告指出在6周齡大的波絲貓就已經發現完全成熟且水晶體已經重吸收的白內障病例。先天性白內障也可能與眼睛畸形(如小眼症)、瞳孔殘膜、或持續存在的水晶體血管有關。通常是非進行性的。患病動物常是雙側性的白內障症狀，但視力往往沒有受到影響。 |
| 英文描述 | Primary congenital cataracts may be caused by heredity, intrauterine infection, prenatal ocular infection, or radiation. Complete congenital cataracts with resorption has been reported in a 6 week old Persian kitten. Congenital cataracts are also associated with ocular malformations such as micropthalmia, or seen with persistent pupillary membranes or persistent hyaloid blood vessels. Usually non-progressive. Usually bilateral, vision often not impaired. |
