| 中文描述 | 副淚線的功能不良會導致淚液膜形成的缺損,並且會使眼睛的表面乾燥而導致眼瞼痙攣,角膜表面的不平整,角膜的血管化以及色素沉著.慢性的疾病最終會導致失明.在狗和貓大多數的案例都是自發性的,但是可能會導致次級或是系統性的疾病,眼窩或眼窩旁外傷,藥物反應,結膜病,先天性流淚功能的缺陷,維生素A缺乏症,或是部份的修格連氏症候群.先天性的乾燥性角結膜炎常發生在緬甸貓.在馬的某些案例中會導致次級性的外傷,還會造成嗜伊紅性的肉芽種類腺炎. |

| 英文描述 | Dysfunction of the accessory lacrimal glands results in a defect in formation of the precorneal tear film, with dryness of the ocular surface causing blepharospasm, irregularities of the corneal surface, corneal vascularization and pigmentation. Chronic disease may lead to blindness. In dogs and cats most cases are idiopathic, but may be secondary to systemic disease, orbital or periorbital trauma, drug reactions, conjunctival disease, congenital defect of lacrimal function, avitaminosis A, or be part of Sjoren's syndrome. Congenital KCS occurs in Burmese cats. A few cases in horses have been secondary to trauma, and one was caused by eosinophilic granulomatous dacryoadenitis. |
