| 中文描述 | 未經治療的糖尿病可能因為脂肪酸持續的損壞而進一步發展成糖尿病酮酸血症,脂肪酸轉變為酮然後發展成酮血症.當酸性的酮超出了身體所能緩衝的最大容量時就會產生酸中毒的現象.糖尿病酮酸血症會使得PU/PD值發生改變並且會出現厭食,不喝水,.嘔吐,下痢等症狀.複雜的情況時常會出現急性的胰臟炎,病毒感染,腎臟方面的疾病以及肝臟方面的疾病.診斷可經由病症,血液的ph值,酮尿以及糖尿來判斷. |

| 英文描述 | Untreated simple diabetes mellitus can progress to diabetic ketoacidosis by continued breakdown of fatty acids, their conversion to ketones and development of ketonemia. Acidosis develops as concentration of acid ketones exceeds the body's buffering capacity. Diabetic ketoacidosis may present as a change from PU\PD to anorexia, refusal of water, vomiting and diarrhea. Complicating conditions often include acute pancreatitis, various infections, renal disease, and liver disease. Dx is by signs, blood pH, ketonuria, and glycosuria. |
