| 英文描述 | Polycystic kidney disease (PKD) is a congenital disorder with disruption of renal parenchyma by cysts of various sizes. Cysts can predispose the kidney to infection or result in progressive renal failure. Might be familial in Cairn Terrier dogs and is inherited as an autosomal dominant in Persian cats and Bull Terrier dogs. Enlarged kidneys are palpable. There can be associated cystic lesions in the liver. In the glomerulocystic manifestation of PKD the cysts are not detected in the kidney by ultrasonography. |
