| 英文描述 | Pyometra is most common in mature nulliparous bitches. In one survey about 90% of cases were diagnosed within 12 weeks of the onset of the last observed normal pro-estrus. Polydipsia is a common complaint and ESCHERICHIA COLI is often involved. The white count is usually elevated but can be normal. Diagnose by signs and imaging of the uterus. Feline pyometra has an etiology that is less clear but clinically resembles canine pyometra, although signs of systemic illness are less common in cats with pyometra than in dogs. Pyometra has also been reported in the uterus masculinus of pseudohermaphrodites and hermaphrodites. |
