| 英文描述 | Malignant histiocytosis is a disorder characterized by the proliferation of abnormal histiocytes that displace the normal lymphoreticular structures of the spleen and lymph nodes. This disease has been reported in dogs and cats. Abnormal histiocytes may be seen in other tissues as well. Erythrocyte (and possibly leukocyte) phagocytosis in involved tissues helps to distinguish this from other proliferative disorders of the RE system. Dx by signs, histopathology, bone marrow aspiration. Rare, except in the Bernese Mountain Dog, the breed which is also at risk for the more benign systemic histiocytosis. Destruction of blood cells can cause pancytopenia or anemia. |
