| 英文描述 | Inflammation of the salivary glands is rare, but has been reported following systemic (esp. viral) disease, trauma, or foreign body. Canine salivary gland necrosis is often associated with lesions involving the esophagus, and the salivary gland may return to normal when the esophageal disease is successfully treated (Schroeder and Berry). Zygomatic sialoadenitis is associated with retrobulbar abcess, due to foreign body; a mucopurulent discharge, which may increase with pressure on the gingiva, can often be seen at the duct openings. |
