| 英文描述 | Synovial sarcoma is a rare neoplasm in both dogs and cats. In dogs, usually affects the stifle and elbow joints. Has both a synovioblastic and fibrosarcomatous component, and may be misdiagnosed as fibrosarcoma. The reported clinical course has ranged from 1 month to 5 years. Metastasis may develop late in the disease. Radiography and cytologic examination of aspirates are used in diagnosis, and on radiography this tumor appears as a soft tissue mass associated with bone or subchondral lysis. Synovial sarcoma was reported in the elbow of a cat. There are reports of villonodular synovitis in dogs; the lesion resembles synovial sarcoma or fibrosarcoma, but differs histologically. There are a number of tumors that can affect joints and which radiologically resemble synovial sarcoma; diagnosis requires histopathology. |
