| 中文描述 | 食物中的鈣偏低，或是鈣正常到偏低，但是磷離子過高，會直接導致代償性的副甲狀腺荷爾蒙分泌增加。當血鈣降低刺激副甲狀腺荷爾蒙分泌增加後會造成代謝性骨病。常見於年輕狗以及餵食幾乎全肉或是全素的貓咪。患病的動物可能會發生纖維性骨營養不良或是病理性骨折。藉由病史、飼料分析、以及骨礦物質流失的證據進行診斷。 |
| 英文描述 | Increased secretion of parathyroid hormone is a compensatory mechanism directed at low dietary calcium or normal to low calcium in the presence of excessive dietary phosphorus. Resulting hypocalcemia stimulates the parathyroid, causing metabolic bone disease. Generally seen in young dogs and cats fed mostly a meat diet or a vegetarian diet. Osteodystrophia fibrosa and pathologic fractures may occur. Dx by history, signs, dietary analysis, evidence of bony demineralization. |
