| 英文描述 | Pets can be poisoned by ingestion of CNS stimulants that are prescribed for or abused by humans, such as amphetamine, methylphenidate, and pemoline. These are potent stimulants of the CNS and cardiovascular systems. Intoxication is characterized by excitement, hyperthermia, agitation, trembling and convulsive episides. This can be followed by depression of metabolic functions terminally. Spectrophotometry will reveal the presence of the drug in urine or stomach contents. |
