| 英文描述 | Contracture of the quadriceps muscle can occur as a complication of femoral fracture. Adhesions of the quadriceps muscle to the fracture area result in decreased or absent mobility of the stifle. Has also been mentioned as a congenital deformity. There is rigid extension of the stifle, hyperextension of the hock, the foot is dragged, and the quadriceps muscles are tense and fibrous. The prognosis is poor for a cure, but the animal may compensate for the problem and use the limb. |
