| 英文描述 | A series of cats developed signs of myopathy at 6 months to 1.5 years of age. In the more advanced stage of the disease all cats were extremely apprehensive; when prompted to move all the cats' movements were extremely fast, abrupt, and exaggerated, causing a rapid, choppy, hypermetric gait without loss of balance or spasticity. Muscle samples at necropsy showed the presence of large numbers of nemaline (threadlike) rods. Congenital myopathy in a Border Collie and progressive adult-onset myopathy in a Schipperke dog were also described. Among other findings, these dogs had exercise intolerance, abnormal electromyography, and nemaline rods in biopsies from proximal limb muscles. |
