| 英文描述 | This is a cause of diarrhea and even death in puppies and kittens which may become infected with species-specific coccidia of the genus CYSTOISOSPORA. There is some controversy over the signs of coccidiosis due to coccidia other than CYSTOISOSPORA. Coccidia cause clinical disease in young animals, while mature animals are inapparent carriers; there are rare reports of clinical disease in adult animals. Dx is based on demonstration of oocysts in feces in association with clinical signs. |
