| 英文描述 | A proliferative periosteal reaction results in the excessive deposition of bone in the limbs of affected animals. This occurs secondary to a primary lesion which is most commonly a pulmonary neoplasm. Other non-neoplastic pulmonary causes have been identified, and rarely the primary lesion will not be in the chest. The mechanism by which the primary lesion causes the periosteal reaction is unclear. Dx is based on presenting signs and radiology. |
