| 英文描述 | May be acute or chronic. Most common route of infection is retrograde from lower urinary tract; rarely established by bacteremia. Result is renal insufficiency due to suppurative destruction of renal mass and replacement with fibrous tissue. Associated with the formation of nephrolithiasis in the dog. Most common organisms are E. COLI, KLEBSIELLA, PSEUDOMONAS, ENTEROBACTER, STAPHYLOCOCCUS AUREUS, PROTEUS MIRABILIS, and STREPTOCOCCUS. Mycoplasmas, particularly M. CANIS have also been isolated in dogs and fungal infection of the kidney has been described. Dx is based on signs, urine culture, radiology, excretory urography, and ultrasonography. |
