| 英文描述 | This skin disease, common in dogs but rare in cats, is caused by friction and minor trauma to the skin combined with poor air circulation moisture and glandular secretions providing an environment that favors skin maceration and bacterial growth. Breed predispositions include St.Bernards and spaniels (lip fold), Chinese Shar Pei and obese dogs (body fold), obese aged females (vulvar fold), English Bulldogs, Pugs, and Boston Terriers (tail fold) and brachycephalic breeds (facial). Dx is by the typical appearance and breed. Complications may include keratitis and corneal ulceration (facial) and urinary tract infections (vulvar). |
