| 中文描述 | 任何年紀的狗與貓都可能發生鉛中毒，但是因為飲食習慣的關係，年輕動物比較常見。中毒後常出現神經系統與消化道系統的症狀，而且常被誤診為癲癇或犬瘟熱。幾乎所有鉛中毒的病患都會出現嗜中性球增多、中度貧血、與紅血球出現嗜鹼性斑點等特異性病徵。長骨的幹"骨后"端可能會出現鉛線(Lead line)。依據臨床症狀、血中鉛濃度增加、以及對螯合劑治療的反應來做診斷。患畜會出現巨食道症狀。 |
| 英文描述 | Lead toxicity occurs in dogs and cats; can occur at any age but usually seen in younger animals due to dietary habits. Nervous and digestive signs are common, and lead toxicosis is often misdiagnosed as epilepsy or distemper. Neutrophilic leucocytosis, moderate anemia and basophilic stippling of RBC are almost pathognomonic. Might be lead lines in the metaphyses of the long bones. Diagnose by signs, elevated blood lead levels, and response to treatment by chelation. Megaesophagus can occur. |
