| 英文描述 | This is a rare disease of mature dogs which develops over a period of months. A lentigo is an intensely black, pigmented macule that appears as a spot located in the skin. May occur singly but is usually a multiple lesion, which has given rise to the term 'leopard syndrome.' It can have a diffuse distribution or occur in clusters. Necessary to differentiate from pigmented tumors. Orange, cream, red, tricolor, and silver cats can develop asymptomatic macular melanosis, with benign, flat or slightly-raised sharply circumscribed macules. Typically begins at less than a year of age, and may affect the lips, gums, eyelids, nose, footpads, and skin of the head. Dx by history, signs, biopsy. This is a cosmetic defect, and treatment is neither available nor needed. |
