| 英文描述 | Atypical mycobacterial granulomas are caused by various non-tubercular (atypical) mycobacteria. In cats this is sometimes called 'feline leprosy'. Infection is usually due to wound contamination. Skin lesions are most common on the head, neck, and limbs, and may present as nodules, ulcers, abscesses, or draining tracts which have not responded to antimicrobial therapy. Dx is by history, exam, direct smears, biopsy and culture. In some cases the organism is seen on biopsy but not culturable. |
