| 英文描述 | Partial or complete occlusion of the nares is common in the brachycephalic breeds of dogs. It is due to abnormally shaped or retracted dorsolateral nasal cartilage causing the collapse of the lateral wings (alae) of the notrils during inhalation. Can be seen in animals as young as 5 weeks of age. This has been reported in a cat, but is very rare in that species. Dx by physical examination. |
