| 英文描述 | The teres minor muscle acts as a flexor of the shoulder joint. A dog had forelimb lameness associated with a painful, firm, band-like structure on palpation deep to the spinous head of the deltoid muscle and caudal to the acromial process of the scapula. Shoulder extension was painful. On ultrasonography there was increase echogenicity within the band-like structure that had been palpated. At surgery the teres minor muscle appeared abnormal, and full range of motion was restored following removal of the affected muscle, which had evidence of myopathy at histopathology. The dog recovered following surgery. The cause of this myopathy was unknown. |
