| 中文描述 | 前列腺感染在老年公狗是很普遍的,而且前列腺膿瘡也許會續發急性或慢性的前列腺炎.全身性跟局部的疾病症狀都會有.常常從泌尿道往上感染.急性前列腺炎常常有全身性症狀.在慢性前列腺炎其腺體常常是結實的而且會皺縮夾帶著重複性泌尿道感染.膿瘡也許會顯現間斷性的臨床症狀.由觸診,X光照相術和培養前列腺液診斷.撒尿常常會帶血.膿瘡破裂會導致急性的敗血症. |

| 英文描述 | Prostatic infections are common in older male dogs, and prostatic abscess may be a sequel of acute or chronic prostatitis. Can have both systemic and local signs of disease. Infection frequently ascends from the urinary tract. Acute prostatitis often has systemic signs. In chronic prostatitis the gland is often firm and shrunken with signs of recurrent urinary tract infection. Abscessation may show intermittent clinical signs. Dx by palpation, radiography, and culture of prostatic fluid. There is often blood at the end of urination. Rupture of the abscess can cause signs of acute sepsis. |
