| 英文描述 | This is an inflammatory skin reaction due to direct contact wlth an irritating substance. Primary irritants include flea collars, soaps, detergents, acid, alkali, fertilizer, weed and insecticidal agents, and others. Calcium chloride has been shown to cause irritant dermatitis followed by histologic evidence of calcinosis cutis in dogs. Dermatitis is produced first, and is most severe in thinly-haired areas, unless the agent is an aerosol or liquid. Self-trauma and secondary infection may obscure the primary lesions. Dx depends on accurate history, and is made by patch testing and provocative exposure testing. |
