| 英文描述 | This is a rare sporadic abnormality except in the Doberman Pinscher and Staffordshire Terrier, in which it is inherited. Mode of transmission is unknown. Lesion consists of the persistence of varying amounts of primary vitreous, with hyperplasia of associated connective tissue which may extend anteriorly to become confluent with the lens capsule. Most common signs are leukocoria and/or a fibrovascular pigmented plaque on the posterior aspect of the lens. Usually unilateral, but may be bilateral. Dx is based on signs, ultrasonography, ophthalmologic exam, and rule-out of other causes. |
