| 英文描述 | Middle-aged German shepherd dogs of either sex have developed a condition characterized by the sudden onset of multiple areas of hairs broken off at different lengths, especially over the dorsolateral area of the trunk and sometimes the neck, in the absence of any other dermatologic or systemic abnormalities. The number of lesions per dog ranged from 2 to 4, and were 10- 15-cm in diameter. Affected hairs seemed dull and thicker than normal and were easily broken when pulled. On trichography there are focal areas of loss of architecture, swelling, and apparent softening of the medulla, followed by longitudinal splitting and breakage of the hair shaft. There was often spontaneous recovery, but relapses did occur. |
